What I have been doing....

Hello Everyone!

My wife has been on my case, along with my dad, about updating my blog (he says my Twitter because he doesn't know).

Not much to report. Last season was good for me. I enjoyed my time in the Carolinas and with the Panthers. The fans were awesome and everyone on the team, were great to get along with. I will miss them, but I now must move on and move up to Minnesota for the season. I have signed with the Vikings and look forward to going BACK to Minnesota. It is somewhat of my old stomping grounds, being that I went to the University of Minnesota. It will be nice to see old friends in the Twin Cities.

My wife and son, Aston, who we welcomed into the world last December, are doing well and are looking forward to starting the season up in Minneapolis.

I worked this off season at St Vincents Sports Institute with former teammate Jason Baker. It was awesome. I did this in addition to training with my trainer in Orlando, Chuck Wolf. That in combination with lots of stretching and biking, I would say I had a very productive off season.

I will be heading up for mini-camps this Friday. I look forward to getting back into the swing of things. It will be nice to meet everyone as well and hopefully get some golf in on some of my favorite tracks in the Minneapolis area.

Best way to stay in contact with me is through my twitter page...Click here to follow me on Twitter. And as promised last year, my website will be up by the start of the 2010 season. On my site you will be able to see my ustream videos/interviews, pictures, journal entries as well as purchase autographed merchandise which all the proceeds will be going to a charity which will be determined soon. So stay tuned!

Welcome to my life...

First of all, I have been told by my wife that I am not allowed to curse on this blog because it is based towards fans and family friends. In my opinion, I wouldn't be true to you if I was not myself when I expressed my feelings. So I will say what I f&*!ing well please. I am currently sitting at Bake's place (#7), I am drinking a glass of wine, listening to the Kings of Leon. My wife is currently typing for 2 reasons. A: Because I had an eye exam today and my eyes have been dialated and I cannot focus or even see anything currently. I promise you this is not because of the alcohol. B: Because my wife is my secretary and she loves me (she glared at me but luckily I cannot see her).

Anyhow, I am through 2 weeks of OTAs. Things are going swell, currently. I am glad it is the weekend. I would like to wish myself a Happy early Birthday, for tomorrow. I'm excited about the upcoming season because I have been working with a new bio-mechanics guy and he has shown me the light, in terms of what I need to be working on. I am hitting the ball well at the minute and look forward to potentially beating the record that I set last year, providing our offense puts points up on the board...which we all expect will happen.

I am excited to go back down to Florida for numerous reasons. I cannot wait to start training hard down there, sleeping in my own bed- which by the way- is a Tempurpedic (no plug intended). I am also looking forward to playing in the ESPN Meijer Blessings in a Blanket Charity Event the end of the month at Valhalla CC in Kentucky. I would like you all to be involved in my life so please if you have any questions and comments, as long as they are productive or put a smile on my face- write to me!

My wife would like to tell you all that the official website for myself will be launched by the start of the regular season although I feel that my wife wants to blog more than I do (This is from Tina- the wife: I don't...). On another note, I am along with my wife and family, are very excited that we are expecting...due in December and that I hope it is a boy. Other than that- stay tuned for some more banter. It has been emotional- I'm out!
